Why study Computer Studies?
GSEB Class 10 Computer Studies is a 100-mark subject (80 theory + 20 practical/internal) that, when prepared well, is one of the most scoring papers in the SSC year and can meaningfully lift a student's overall percentage. Because the syllabus mixes web development with HTML, spreadsheets in LibreOffice Calc and an introduction to C programming, it builds genuine digital and logical-thinking skills rather than rote learning. A strong Std 10 foundation makes the jump to Class 11 and 12 Computer subjects far easier, and the practical component rewards consistent hands-on practice. With concept clarity and regular board paper practice, students can confidently target high marks.
This course gives an early, practical introduction to web markup (HTML), data handling with spreadsheets, and structured programming in C — the same building blocks used in software development, IT, data analysis and engineering. Students who continue with Computer Science, IT or B.Tech/BCA/B.Sc CS streams find the logic of algorithms, loops and arrays already familiar. It is a credible first step toward careers in programming, data, AI and the wider tech industry, without overstating what one Class 10 subject delivers.
