Exam pattern
Total 100 marks: Theory 60 marks (external) + Practical 40 marks. Theory paper is split into Part A Employability Skills (10 marks) and Part B Subject Specific Skills (50 marks: RDBMS 15, Web Based Applications 10, Java 20, Work Integrated Learning 5). Practical 40 marks: Java Program (10), SQL Queries - table creation plus 5 queries (10), Practical File (10), Viva Voce (5), and Project made in Java NetBeans (5).
Practical and project work
40-mark practical assessment. Hands-on lab work with MySQL and Java NetBeans. Students must maintain a practical file containing a minimum of 15 Java programs and 15 MySQL queries. A project (any application built using the Java NetBeans IDE) and a viva voce are also assessed. Class XII carries a total of 260 instructional hours across theory and practical.
