The words we choose after a result can shape how children approach the next exam.

Supportive questions invite reflection and a plan. Comparisons and labels usually create fear and avoidance.

You can be honest about disappointing marks while still making your child feel capable of improving.

How we talk about marks teaches children how to handle setbacks for the rest of their lives, far beyond a single exam.
